About The Airport

This huge 5-terminal airport is located halfway between Dallas and Fort Worth. It's currently undergoing a major renovation, due to be completed by 2021.

Getting to and from the airport

Dallas Fort Worth is 35.5km from downtown Dallas and 39km from Fort Worth.

Taxi - ranks are found outside each terminal - look for the signs on the upper levels of terminals A, B, C & E, and the lower level of terminal D. For Uber, Lyft and WINGZ follow the passenger pick-up signs outside the terminal.

Bus - DART public buses run to downtown Dallas. Charter buses are available by arrangement.

Train - a frequent DART rail service runs to and from Dallas. The DART rail station is at Terminal A, outside security, lower level curb, entry A10. There are buses to the TRE rail, which runs from Dallas to Fort Worth.

Hotel shuttle - see the information boards near Baggage Claim in all terminals for courtesy cars to hotels and motels.

Car rental - 12 rental companies operate from the airport's Rental Car Center, which is near the south entrance. It can take up to 20 minutes to get to and from the Rental Car Center.

Limousine - numerous limo companies operate out of DFW.

Parking

The airport offers long-term parking with a shuttle to the terminals; short-term (2 hours maximum) parking; and valet parking. All are 24/7.

Transit and in-airport hotels

The Grand Hyatt DFW is in Terminal D. The hotel has its own rooftop swimming pool.

Skylink - a 24-hour light rail train - connects the 5 terminals inside Security; it runs every 2 minutes with an average travel time of 5 minutes. A free van shuttle connects the terminals outside of Security, and runs every 10 minutes. Terminals A & B are also connected by a walkway, as are C & D.

Enjoy unwinding between flights at one of the airport's yoga studios. You'll find a studio in the corridor connecting Terminals B and D, and one in Terminal E. Complimentary equipment and guided videos are available.
