This terminal is where Dubai’s bright future as a travel powerhouse all started. Originally named in honour of one of the visionaries - Sheikh Rashid, Dubai Terminal 1 will welcome you to a desert oasis, with palm trees, wall art of desert scapes and camels adorning the walls of the terminal.

Dubai’s legendary status for exceptional shopping is reinforced with the expansive Dubai duty free shopping zone that offers extensive shopping, from cosmetics to fashion. In addition you can browse retail outlets such as Tiffany & Co, Burberry and if you are in the market for a new watch you have come to the right place with at least seven specialist and designer timepiece stores to tempt you.

Feeling a bit peckish? Dubai Terminal 1 has plenty to delight the taste buds from traditional Arabic coffee and dates, to Lebanese, Spanish, American, Mexican and Asian cuisines to sample. In addition, you can opt for any of the international fast food outlets that are a favourite with the family.

A Priority Pass membership would also allow you to gain access to a choice of luxury airport lounges at Dubai Terminal 1.

About Our Lounges At Dubai Terminal 1

The Marhaba Lounge in Terminal 1 is well-known and long established and epitomises the hospitality synonymous with Arabic culture. The spacious and air conditioned environment is the perfect respite to the busy terminal. A dedicated kid’s zone is ideal for little ones to play and burn off some energy before your flight commences. Refreshments and beverages, including alcoholic beverages are available for you to enjoy, while you connect to the free WIFI, use the telephone facilities or simply enjoy some quiet time paging through the latest magazines or newspapers on offer. With all this to distract, be sure to keep an eye on the flight information screens. Shower facilities are available to guests of this terminal 1 lounge, however, they are subject to availability and payment. The Marhaba Lounge is open 24 hours daily and is proud to welcome guests with disabilities.

The SkyTeam Lounge is one of the most elegant and luxurious Dubai Airport Terminal 1 lounges on offer. You will receive five star treatment from the moment you enter the elegant and modern lounge, replete with extensive buffet, beverage area, chill out zones and independent bathrooms with a shower to while away the time. Showers are subject to availability and additional charge. You may wish to enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer, while watching some television or browsing the latest magazines and newspapers. Stay connected with free wi-fi and monitor boarding times on the flight information screens throughout the lounge. The SkyTeam Lounge is open daily from 2am to 8pm and is able to welcome our guests with disabilities to use the facilities.

The Ahlan Business Class Lounge in Dubai Terminal 1 is an experience for the senses. Ahlan means ‘hello’ in Arabic, and you will feel the warm welcome of Arabian hospitality the moment you enter. A beautiful, back-lit bar will entice you to a pre-flight drink, while the extensive refreshments and snacks on offer will provide the perfect compliment to your drink. Free wi-fi will ensure you remain in contact with friends and family, or enjoy your favourite streaming show. If off-screen time is what you desire, there is plenty to distract you, including magazines and newspapers, flight information screens and even a spa, which offers guests quiet and peaceful treatment rooms and a treatment menu that will make you wish your flight was delayed. Please note that spa treatments are subject to availability and charged separately. The Ahlan Business Class Lounge is open 24 hours a day and can warmly welcome guests with disabilities to enjoy the facilities.

If you only have a good nap and a hot shower on your mind while visiting Dubai Terminal 1, you need not look further than the Sleep 'N Fly Sleep Lounge & Showers. Select from a single or double YAWN lite Cabin, which provides comfortable beds, cotton linen and an air conditioned, dark and quiet environment to get some much needed rest. A hot shower is the perfect way to wake up and prepare for your onward journey completely refreshed. The Sleep ‘N Fly Sleep Lounge & Showers is open 24 hours a day and is accessible to guests with disabilities.

Location And Accessibility

The Marhaba Lounge in Dubai Terminal 1 is located on the airside of the terminal. Prior to Immigration, board the train to Boarding Gates level then take the elevator or stairs on the left to Arrival Level, turn left and then right.

The SkyTeam Lounge is located airside of terminal 1, on the lounge level, near the Food Court Area, opposite the ‘DIH Lounge’. It is accessible for international flights only.

Ahlan Business Class Lounge is located on level 2 of the terminal, above the departure gates.

Sleep ‘N Fly Sleep Lounge and Showers is located airside of the terminal, opposite Gates D6 and D7. It is accessible for international flights only.


There are several places to get a bite to eat or a drink, whether you are arriving or waiting to greet passengers.

You can make last-minute, duty-free purchases at the Baggage Claim. Alcohol is well priced in Dubai's airport shops but take note that it can't be bought or consumed by visitors outside of hotels and licensed bars. A Boots pharmacy can be found in Arrivals for travel essentials before you leave the airport.

2. Who can use the lounges at Dubai Terminal 1?
Priority Pass cardholders and registered guests visiting Dubai Terminal 1 are welcome. Regardless of the class of ticket (economy/business/first), all domestic travellers, business or leisure, can access our Dubai Terminal 1 lounges through Priority Pass.

3. Is there a dress code for the lounges at Dubai Terminal 1?
Guests in smart casual dress are welcome to enter the Priority Pass lounges at Dubai Terminal 1. The government of the U.A.E. values modesty and requires guests to their country to observe this in their attire.

4. Can I smoke in the lounge?
Airport regulations prevent smoking outside of designated smoking areas located conveniently across Dubai Terminal 1. We invite our guests to avail these facilities.

5. How long can I stay in a lounge at Dubai Terminal 1?
You can access the Marhaba Lounge and Ahlan Business Class Lounge up to three hours before your departure. The SkyTeam Lounge offers Priority Pass guests access up to four hours before departure. The Sleep ‘N Fly Sleep Lounge & Showers offers Priority Pass card holders the following:

● A two hour stay in a single cabin (for one person) or a one hour stay in a double cabin (for two people).
● During off peak hours (12pm to 10pm): One hour stay in a single cabin and 15 minute shower use (for one person) or a three hour stay in a single cabin.

6. Do the lounges at Dubai Terminal 1 have flight information screens?
The Marhaba lounge, Ahlan Business Class Lounge and SkyTeam Lounge at Dubai Terminal 1 have screens displaying flight information. The Sleep ‘N Fly Sleep & Shower facilities do not offer flight information screens and guests are requested to monitor their boarding times while enjoying our facilities.

7. Are the lounges at Dubai Terminal 1 wheelchair accessible?
All Priority Pass lounges located in Dubai Terminal 1 are wheelchair accessible, providing comfortable and convenient access for our guests with disabilities.

8. Do the lounges at Dubai Terminal 1 cater for vegetarians and vegans?
The Marhaba lounge, Ahlan Business Class Lounge and SkyTeam Lounge at Dubai Terminal 1 have a wide selection of delectable meals, snacks and beverages, many of which are suitable for our vegetarian and vegan clients.

9. Can children enter the lounges at Dubai Terminal 1?
Priority Pass is proud to welcome children to our Dubai Terminal 1 lounges. Children under the age of two years are admitted free to the Marhaba Lounge and the SkyTeam Lounge. Ahlan Business Class Lounge is happy to provide free admission to children under the age of one years old.
