Terminal Information

The public area has some well-known international fast food chains, as well as cafés, dim sum and noodle bars. There are 16 outlets in total across the basement and 3 floors. Thirsty travelers will find a 24-hour Heineken Bar on Floor 3. After Security there are only 4 food outlets in international Departures and a respectable 10 in domestic.

Shopping in the public areas comprises newsstands, convenience stores and a handful of fashion outlets. Once past Security, you can shop duty free, as well as browse around 30 other stores selling everything from jewelry, perfume and designer clothing to bags, books and groceries. Timberland and Calvin Klein both have concessions at domestic Departures. For a souvenir from the birthplace of porcelain, visit Shanghai Tang in international Departures.

Duty-free shopping is available near the Baggage Claim for international travelers, as well as travel accessory stores and booksellers in the main greeting area.

Terminal tips

Visit the aquarium area to meditate on the underwater world during quieter moments, or keep the kids amused with a game of 'Finding Nemo'. It can be found on the 2nd floor near Gate 81.

From apron views to Mondrian art, themed waiting areas can be found among the boarding gates at Beijing Capital's Terminal 2.

Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the terminal.
