Geneva International

Geneva, Switzerland

About The Airport

As well as serving Geneva, this airport is close to France and has a French sector where people already in Switzerland can take flights to French airports without having to pass through Swiss territory. There are 2 terminals, but almost all flights use Terminal 1, while Terminal 2 is just used for charter flights during the ski season.

90 minutes of free Wi-Fi is available at Geneva Airport. You'll need an access code to connect, which can be obtained by via SMS, scanning your boarding pass at one of the self-service counters or presenting your passport at the Visitors Center.

Getting to and from the airport

The airport is just 4km from downtown Geneva.

Taxi - taxis can be hailed outside Arrivals.

Bus - several city bus routes serve the airport. Direct coach services to the French cities of Grenoble, Chambéry and Lyon are also available.

There are no in-airport hotels.

Healthy Travel Tip

Geneva can get very cold in the winter, with temperatures dropping as low as 30 degrees Fahrenheit in January. Be prepared with warm clothing to keep the chill at bay.
