About Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport t

Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Mumbai (CSMIA) is India’s second-busiest airport, after Delhi.

Split across two sites in Sahar and Santacruz, CSMIA handles an average of 980 flights per day and serves more than 52 million passengers annually.

The terminals at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport are housed in two separate buildings.

Terminal 1, at Santacruz, is exclusively for domestic flights while Terminal 2 at Sahar caters for both international and domestic flights. While both share the same airside facilities, it is a 15–20-minute journey between the two.

CSMIA also has a dedicated General Aviation Terminal catering to passengers using private and non-scheduled flight operations. A major upgrade is planned in 2025. Terminal 1 will be demolished and rebuilt within three years. The Navi Mumbai Airport, set to open March 2025, and an expanded Terminal 2 will ensure continuity of services until the new Terminal 1 is complete.
