Brasilia J.Kubitschek Intl

Brasilia, Brazil

About The Airport

This is Brasilia's main international airport and an important domestic and regional hub, that was refurbished for the World Cup in 2014. Its full name, Brasilia-Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport is a bit of a mouthful, and it is sometimes reduced to just Kubitschek. It has 2 terminals - Terminal 1 is also known as Main Terminal and Terminal 2 comprises a South Pier for domestic flights and a North Pier for international flights. Although they are under one roof, the two terminal entrances are connected by a shuttle service. Kubitschek Airport achieved a 5-star rating in the 2017 On-time Performance (OTP) Ratings, compiled by the UK-headquartered OAG airport statistics database.

Free Wi-Fi is available at the airport.

The airport is around 11km from downtown Brasilia.

Taxi - metered taxis are available outside the terminals 24 hours a day; at Terminal 1, the pick up area is outside Arrivals; at Terminal 2, it is outside the main entrance. Consider prebooking a radio taxi or airport transfer if you have a deadline to meet as the queues for taxis can be long.

Bus - the airport is served by over a dozen city bus routes, including one to the main subway station at Rodoviária. There's also a premium Executive Bus service to the city's hotel zone, which runs every 30 minutes from 06:30 to midnight (23:00 on weekends and holidays).

Hotel shuttle - a courtesy shuttle service is available for guests of the nearby Ibis Styles Brasilia Aeroporto. The airport information desk will be able to make arrangements for you.

Car rental - you can choose between the services of 5 or 6 different car rental agencies at the airport. Desks are in the Arrivals area of Terminal 1.

There are both short- and long-term parking lots within easy walking distance of both terminals. The premium lots offer covered parking.

There's a complimentary shuttle service between the 2 terminals which runs every 20 minutes.

There is no on-site hotel.

Healthy Travel Tip

To stop your feet and ankles from swelling – and to reduce the risk of deep vein thrombosis – keep moving during long flights. Take a stroll around the cabin when you can, change position in your seat, and do little exercises like pressing your feet down on the floor, and bending and straightening your legs.

We do our best to keep these guides as up-to-date as possible, but cannot guarantee that they fully reflect the current state of every airport, where changes can happen frequently and without notice. Please contact us with any feedback.
