Terminal 1

Guangzhou, China

Terminal Information

There are 30-plus places to eat and drink, many of which are in the Domestic area on Level 1. Options range from Chinese and Japanese dishes to Western-style fast food from Subway, McDonald's, KFC and Starbucks. For a taste of popular Chinese fast food, try Kung Fu. In international Departures, Jinlong Food Street near Gates 17 & 18 is the best bet for cheap and cheerful food. Some reports advise that not all restaurants can take card payments, so having cash to hand can be useful.

Plentiful duty-free concessions make tax-free shopping easy, and there's an excellent range of stores selling perfume, cosmetics, fashion and silks, books, souvenirs and jade and pearl jewelry. Bally, Nautica, Emporio Armani, Kiehl's, Gucci, Omega, Burberry and Disney are some of the brands with a presence here. If you're travelling with children, there are plenty of toy retailers selling stuffed animals and games. For gifts, there are a number of traditional boxed tea and dried fruit stores scattered around the terminal, as well as outlets selling the popular Chinese liquor, baijiu.
