Winner: Alaska Airlines Board Room at Seattle Airport

London: The Alaska Airlines Board Room at Seattle Tacoma International Airport is today celebrating victory in the prestigious Priority Pass Lounge of the Year Awards. The lounge has won the North America Regional Award 2012 for the second year in a row. The Alaska Airlines Board Room was voted for by the members of Priority Pass, the world’s largest independent airport lounge access program.

Winning the Priority Pass Regional Award for North America for the second time is a great success for the Alaska Airlines Board Room. The lounge clearly continues to set a very high standard in the facilities it offers in catering for a demanding clientele. The Priority Pass Lounge of the Year Awards, established in 2005, are designed to recognise service excellence amongst the lounges in the Priority Pass programme. The Alaska Airlines Board Room was singled out for honour amongst approximately 100 other airport lounges in North America, with the award based on more than 40,000 ratings made by Priority Pass members from around the world.

The Board Room lounge was nominated for its design, which promotes comfort as well as productivity. With high-end furnishings, private workstations, Wi-Fi, fax and copier facilities, the lounge enables business travellers to be as relaxed or productive as they desire.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Priority Pass has millions of members worldwide. The programme provides frequent travellers with airport lounge access, irrespective of their class of travel, airline flown or existing membership of an airline loyalty programme. Founded in 1992 with 55 lounges in 49 countries, Priority Pass today offers access to more than 600 airport lounges in over 600 cities in more than 145 countries.
