This small, well-organized airport has a single terminal building with well-stocked duty-free shopping and a modest selection of restaurants, cafés and bars.

Getting to and from the airport

The airport is on an island 7km from the capital, Manama.

Taxi - metered taxis are available for hire in the ground transportation area of the airport. Look for the meter mounted above the dashboard.

Hotel shuttle - transfers are available for a small fee to nearby hotels such as the Movenpick, Dragon Hotel and Sea Loft Boutique Chalet.

Car rental - car rental desks are in the public area of the Arrivals concourse on the ground floor.

Parking

Parking lots are directly opposite the terminal building. The airport's long-term parking area offers special rates for travelers leaving their cars for extended periods. This section is a short shuttle ride from the terminal.

Transit and in-airport hotels

Transit is easy in Bahrain's single terminal building, and walking to the furthest gate shouldn't take more than 20 minutes.

There is no in-airport hotel.
