Aeropuerto Internacional El Dorado is 15km from downtown Bogota.
Taxi - authorized taxis operate from gates 2, 3, 5 and 6 of T1, and from the Arrivals gate in T2.
Bus - there are buses to the downtown city center. Stops are outside the International Terminal.
Hotel shuttle - hotel buses leave from T1, floor 1, exit 5. Frequency and service depends on your hotel.
Car rental - 3 car rental companies operate at the airport from floor 1 in T1.
T1 has three parking lots, and T2 has one. Short and long-stay parking is available, as are accessible parking spaces.
Transit and in-airport hotels
A shuttle bus links the two terminals. It runs every 20 minutes from 05.00 to 23.00. Walking distance between the terminals is 8 to 10 minutes at normal speed. You can't take airport courtesy wheelchairs from one terminal to another.
If you have a biometric passport, you should be able to get through passport control faster using one of the airport's express lanes.
Healthy Travel Tip
Bogota is 2630 meters (8629 ft) above sea level and can be rather chilly in the morning. Temperatures fluctuate when you're travelling so keep a few layers with you, and carry a jacket to protect you from cold and rain when you're boarding the plane.
