Madrid Adolfo Suarez-Barajas Airport

The Madrid Adolfo Suarez-Barajas Airport is named after former Spanish Prime Minister, Adolfo Suarez and is the main international airport in Spain. It is located in the Barajas district of Madrid.

There are some lovely restaurants to choose from in this terminal, including cafés, a sports bar, fast food outlets and an informal grill restaurant. Italian cuisine can also be enjoyed here and there's a sushi station that offers a takeaway service for your flight.

A highlight for shoppers is The Fashion Gallery - a multi-brand space for fashion, accessories and jewellery. Twenty-one brands including Bvlgari, Montblanc and Burberry adorn the store floor. Duty-free shopping is also available in the terminal, and there's a wide selection of stores selling everyday items, along with a pharmacy.

About Our Lounge At Madrid Adolfo Suarez-Barajas Airport Terminal 1

The Cibeles Lounge is a popular breakaway spot for our guests. It is very spacious with many different seating areas suitable for conversation, work or solitude. With the great variety of refreshments on offer, you can have a tasty meal before availing yourself of the shower facilities or the entertainment facilities. Those who smoke won’t have to leave the lounge to enjoy a cigarette as there is an outside smoking terrace in this lounge. Cibeles is open all day, every day and can be accessed by guests three hours prior to their flight departure. The lounge has a separate games room available for the younger travellers. All cardholders and guests are required to present a valid boarding pass for same day travel. Children five years and under are admitted free while children under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Location And Accessibility

The Madrid Airport Terminal 1 lounge is situated airside. As you leave passport control, proceed to the second floor. The lounge is found between Gates B26 and B29 on the right hand side. Follow the signs to 'Sala VIP'. This lounge is available for Priority Pass guests who are departing on Non-Schengen flights.


You can grab a bite to eat or a drink at the café before you set off from the airport.

There's an Express Duty Free store in the passenger-only zone of Arrivals, and a newsstand in the public area.
