North Terminal (Concourse D): The Corona Beach House
Open from 6.30am to 9pm every day, The Corona Beach House is a contemporary space offering a hint of Latin flair for passengers waiting for their flights. Food on offer at The Corona Beach House includes hamburgers and nachos, served with ice-cold Corona beer. Please note at peak periods, access to the restaurant may be limited.

The Corona Beach House is located airside of Miami International Airport, between gates D23 and D24.

North Terminal (Concourse D and E): Turkish Airlines Lounge
The Turkish Airlines Lounge in Miami International Airport’s North Terminal offers a serene and luxurious space for travellers. Open daily between 05:00 - 22:00, this lounge provides a range of amenities designed to enhance the travel experience, ensuring comfort and convenience for Priority Pass members and eligible passengers.

Enjoy a variety of hot and cold dishes, including Turkish specialties and international cuisine. The lounge also offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring that guests have plenty of choices. The Turkish Airlines Lounge is conveniently located airside in Concourse D, near Gate D21. To reach the lounge, proceed through security and follow the signs to the lounge area.

South Terminal (Concourse H and J): Turkish Airlines Lounge
For those seeking a comfortable and upscale environment to relax before their flight, the Turkish Airlines Lounge at Miami International Airport’s South Terminal (Concourse H and J) is an excellent choice.

Open 24/7, 365 days per year up to three hours before departure. Please note at peak periods access may be restricted. A smart casual dress code applies at all times, with shoes and shirts both required for entry. Children under two are admitted free. Facilities include a separate playroom, free luggage storage, computer workstations and printers, and a prayer room.

The Turkish Airlines Lounge is located airside of Miami International Airport. Take the lounge lift halfway between Concourses H and J to the third floor, and bear left until you reach the entrance.

If you’re flying from the Central Terminal (Concourses E, F and G), there’s plenty to browse and buy too. After browsing Duty Free Americas, why not pick up a linen shirt from Havana Collection or get beach ready with a trip to Rip Curl?

There’s great food and drink on offer too in the Central Terminal (Concourses E, F and G). Get the legendary baby backs at Chili’s Too, grab the perfect slice from Maestro Della Pizza, or pick up a cup of perfect coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts.

The South Terminal (Concourses H and J) is another treasure trove for shoppers. Pick up exclusive menswear from Hammer Made, magical makeup from MAC, or a touch of glamour from Michael Kors designs.

Here you’ll also find a mouthwatering slice of pizza that puts New York to shame at Famous Famiglia, while Gilbert’s Food Bar has outlets before and after security. If you fancy something a little slower, head to La Pausa, where you can sip, savour and relax.

Accessibility

Miami International Airport (MIA) is located approximately 8 miles (13 kilometres) northwest of downtown Miami, making it easily accessible for travellers. The airport provides several convenient ways for passengers to reach the terminals, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free journey.

By car
Miami International Airport is well-connected by major highways, including the Dolphin Expressway (State Road 836) and the Airport Expressway (State Road 112). The journey from downtown Miami typically takes around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. The airport offers a variety of parking options, including short-term, long-term, and valet parking. For added convenience, consider booking a parking spot in advance, especially during peak travel times.

Taxis
Most taxis at Miami International Airport are yellow though some black cabs are available. They can be found at the airport’s taxi stands and should be metered, with fares regulated by the government.

For reference, a 20-minute transfer from Miami Airport to downtown should cost around $27 (~€25/£21).

By public transport

  • Metrorail: The Orange Line of the Metrorail connects the airport to downtown Miami and other key areas. The MIA Metrorail Station is located at the Miami Central Station, accessible via the MIA Mover, a free automated people mover system. Trains run every 15-30 minutes, and the journey to downtown Miami takes approximately 15 minutes.
  • Metrobus: Several Metrobus routes connect the airport to various parts of Miami-Dade County, providing a budget-friendly option for reaching the city and nearby areas.
  • Tri-Rail: Tri-Rail offers commuter train service between Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach. The Tri-Rail station is also located at Miami Central Station, accessible via the MIA Mover.
